China’s Meteorological Agency has issued its second highest alert over high temperatures.

Weather authorities say, on Sunday most areas in northern, central, and southern China are expected to see temperatures of more than 35 degrees Celsius. In east China’s Zhejiang Province, the thermometer may hit 41 degrees Celsius.
氣象部門(mén)表示,中國(guó)北部、中部和南部大部分地區(qū)氣溫將超過(guò)35攝氏度。中國(guó)東部浙江省溫度將達(dá)到41攝氏度。
Its capital, Hangzhou has issued the highest red alert. Shanghai had its 21st hot day of the month on Saturday. The city is suffering medium-level air pollution, with high ozone levels.

In neighboring Jiangsu Province, a five-decade record in terms of the number of hot days in July has been made. Hot weather has persisted in southern and eastern China since early July. Forecasters say the high temperatures will continue for another ten days.
